A glorious sun drenched winter's afternoon greeted the terrific turnout at LH Waud last Saturday as a sea of Navy Blue and white filled the sidelines to cheer our Super League boys on as they played their last home game for the season.

Fans flocked to the spiritual home of Rovers for the afternoon proceedings and it was great to see past and present players as well as committee members, secretaries and sponsors who have played an integral part of the club over the years.

It was also fantastic to see all the current juniors decked out in their Rovers gear to form a guard of honour for our first grade team, with high fives and rousing cheers as they took the field.

On the field, our Premiership winning Reserve Grade squad put on a clinic for the growing crowd winning 7-1 in yet another dominant performance and setting the scene for the 3pm fixture. Our first grade team fought hard for 90 mins but couldn't quite get the result going down in a narrow 1-0 loss in a tight and tense match. Despite the result, first Grade is still 5 points clear at the top of the table and still only need one more win to secure the premiership.

Some photos from the day are posted here taken by our Super League head photographer and Manager, Matt Hanchard.

A big thank you to all the committee and helpers who organised the afternoon and made it a huge success for all who attended.

A big thank you also from all the Super League squad to all the Rovers fans who showed up for the occasion which now could become a regular annual event on the club calendar.
